چکیده

Abstract Radiation nephropathy is a rare complication following total body irradiation (TBI) and peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT). Yttrium 90-dotatoc (Y90) somatostatin analogue labelled with Y90 used for somatostatin-positive neuroendocrine tumours (NET). renally excreted has cumulative effect in the renal parenchyma Despite fractionation co-administration of renoprotective intravenous amino acids, targeted can still be nephrotoxic. Rising adoption PRRT led to re-emergence radiation nephropathy. We report on three recent cases insidious onset progressive kidney dysfunction biopsy-proven thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) TBI.

Thrombotic Microangiopathy in IgA Nephropathy

Implication for health policy/practice/research/medical education: Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) occurs in IgA nephropathy, but is uncommon in the setting of IgA nephropathy. However, the reports of overlapping morphologic lesions of TMA and IgAN are poorly understood and debatable and needs more attention in larger series of IgAN. Thrombotic microangiopathy after kidney transplantation.

Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) is a severe complication of kidney transplantation that often causes graft failure. TMA may occur de novo, often triggered by immunosuppressive drugs and acute antibody-mediated rejection, or recur in patients with previous history of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). Recurrent TMA is very rare in patients who had developed end-stage renal failure following HUS c...

HIV associated thrombotic microangiopathy.

Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) is a known complication of HIV infection. Endothelial cell injury appears to be the primary event causing platelet activation and deposition in the microvasculature. Direct cytopathic roles of HIV as well as other factors such as malignancy, drugs, and infectious agents have been implicated in the pathogenesis of HIV-TMA. Although the the majority of patients pr...
